Mercosur<\/strong> (Southern Common Market) is a regional bloc comprising Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela as full members, with Bolivia in the process of joining. Its main objective is to promote economic and commercial integration among these countries, facilitating free trade, the movement of goods, services and people, and fostering cooperation in various political and social areas. The Council of the European Union has taken a significant step forward by approving the signing of the EU-Mercosur Comprehensive Association Agreement (EMPA) and the Interim Trade Agreement (iTA), a historic milestone that strengthens the relationship between the EU and the Mercosur countries: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. After more than 25 years of negotiations, these agreements mark the beginning of a new era of political, economic and trade cooperation between the two blocs. <\/p>

The Comprehensive Partnership Agreement (CPA) is not only limited to trade, but also integrates a broader approach to political cooperation.
